The Longview Orthopaedic Clinic was founded by Dr. Bud Colquitt in 1959, with Dr. Colquitt as the sole physician. Shortly after opening the clinic, Mrs. Essie Petty was hired as the clinic's first employee. Dr. George Hilliard joined the clinic in 1965. The clinic was located on the tenth floor of the First National Bank building (formerly Bank One) in downtown Longview. The clinic later moved to the third floor. The clinic moved to its present location on Sixth Street in 1979. Dr. Colquitt, founder of the clinic, retired in 1987. Dr. Hilliard retired in 1999.
